Most educational programs offered during the 2018 NFDA International Convention & Expo will be held on level 2 of the Salt Palace Convention Center. The general sessions and Service of Remembrance will be held in the Grand Ballroom, accessed through the South Lobby. For details about CE options on any given day, be sure to pick up the 2018 NFDA Convention Program & Planner when you get to Salt Lake City, or for up-to-the-minute information, download the mobile app when it becomes available!
Since seating is limited, plan to arrive at all workshops in advance of the scheduled start time.
To earn CE credit for attendance, you must attend a minimum of 50 minutes for one-hour sessions or 100 minutes for two-hour sessions. Doors close promptly at the scheduled start time. It is the policy of NFDA not to admit anyone 10 minutes after a session begins in accordance with state licensing board requirements.
Don’t forget to be scanned on your way out the door!
As you exit each CE session, the QR code on your official convention badge will be scanned. You can only be scanned for a session when it concludes.
It is your responsibility to submit a Certificate of Participation to your state or province licensing board/s and/or the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice (APFSP), as required by their guidelines. Please allow two weeks for CE certificates to appear in your profile at nfda.org. From here, you can print CE certificates from NFDA for submission to your state/province licensing board and/or the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice (APFSP). Please contact Member Services at 800.228.6332 if you need assistance logging in to nfda.org.
IMPORTANT: Because state CE regulations vary, not all sessions are approved for credit by all states. The latest CE information for individual states is posted near the workshop rooms.
Did you miss a workshop or want to share one with staff back home? Visit NFDA Central for information on purchasing DVD recordings or downloads of selected workshops.
And a gentle reminder…
Please respect our presenters and other attendees by turning off your cellphone before a session begins. Thank you.
